Educational Background
Tonya Manselle received her BSW in 1982 and MSW in 1984 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has been on faculty at the School of Social Work since 1997. Prior to that time, she was a medical social worker at three hospitals, a hospice social worker, and a home health social worker. She has also worked in long-term care where she was both a social service designee and a Nursing Home Consultant. In addition to direct service, she has been a Director of Hospital Social Work, Home Health/Hospice and an administrative coordinator for an OB/GYN clinic. She is licensed as an LCSW and has an ACSW certification.
